Martin Mere on Mother’s Day

I have always enjoyed photographing birds, and on Mothers Day my family and I took a trip up to Martin Mere. My wife used to visit the reserve as a child and going back there with our own children is something we both really enjoy.

In some enclosures the birds roam freely, crossing the paths. In a lot of others the birds can be as close as an arm’s length away. This proximity provides opportunities to get some great close up shots.
